mascot
Meet Neil Moody, Esq. (Yes, He’s a Cat.)
​
Neil Moody is not your typical personal injury attorney—and that’s saying something, because most attorneys aren’t orange, covered in fur, or prone to knocking pens off desks during depositions.
A proud (and slightly overachieving) law graduate, Neil originally planned a very different career path: professional racquetball. Known in certain underground feline-athlete circles as “The Whisker Wall,” Neil’s promising career came to an abrupt end after an unfortunate on-court injury involving a glass wall, a missed backhand, and what he now describes as “a failure to properly appreciate personal injury law.”

That experience changed everything.
Determined to understand the system that would shape his own recovery, Neil pivoted to law. He attended a top-10 law school, graduating at the very top of his class—reportedly aided by his ability to read case law in six languages (Spanish, French, Vietnamese, Chinese, Arabic, and English) and his refusal to sleep more than 14 hours a day.

After law school, Neil worked at several large firms, where he quickly developed two firm beliefs:

Clients deserve to be treated like people, not case numbers.

Fancy offices do not make better lawyers.
So, he left.

As co-founder of Moody & Associates, Attorneys, P.C., Neil built the kind of firm he wished existed when he was injured—one that is personal, accessible, and relentlessly focused on doing right by its clients.
​
Neil’s philosophy is simple:
If a case doesn’t succeed, the client shouldn’t be worse off for trying. And if a case does succeed, the client should always come out ahead. Always.
That’s why he never charges fees that exceed a client’s recovery—and if that means reducing his own fee, he does so without hesitation (though he may sigh softly and stare out the window for dramatic effect).

Outside the office, Neil is a licensed pilot who enjoys flying small aircraft—primarily because no one can ask him legal questions at 10,000 feet. He is deeply involved in community and charitable work, donating hundreds of hours each year to pro bono representation and supporting causes both locally and around the world. He is especially passionate about environmental protection and access to justice for those who cannot afford it.

Above all, Neil Moody understands what it means to be injured, to face uncertainty, and to need someone in your corner. That’s why he practices law the way he does: with skill, integrity, and just the right amount of personality.

Why a cartoon cat?​
While the use of a cartoon cat may seem unconventional in the context of a law firm, it reflects a deliberate and considered choice.
Personal injury matters often arise during difficult and uncertain times. Our firm is committed not only to achieving strong legal results, but also to providing an experience that is clear, accessible, and respectful of each client’s circumstances. The inclusion of a friendly, approachable mascot serves to reinforce that commitment by helping to create a more welcoming and less intimidating environment.
The cat itself represents qualities that are central to our practice—attentiveness, agility, precision, and persistence. These are the same principles we apply in the careful handling and advocacy of every case.
Above all, the mascot is a reminder that our work is centered on people. We strive to combine professionalism with approachability, ensuring that our clients feel supported and confident throughout the legal process.
