Personal injury lawyers have a reputation of being greedy ambulance chasers, who are more concerned with the amount of money they will make than they are the actual welfare of their clients. This reputation is probably fitting for many practicing lawyers. But I never saw myself as the typical, greedy, uncaring lawyer.
When I think of this ideal I call the client experience, I think of what I would expect from my own lawyer if I needed help from. As a client, I’m thinking – “I’ve been through this emotional trauma involving an accident. It has turned my life upside down in a bunch of ways. As my lawyer, are you emotionally invested with me? Do you really care about me and my family? Are you going to get me through this really difficult time in my life?” When I started my own law firm in 1996, giving my clients the best experience possible was my driving force.
